Cheryl Cole was one of the first of the Comic Relief celebrities to reach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro.

The first climbers to get to the top of the 19,300' peak, alongside Cheryl, were Fearne Cotton, Denise Van Outen and Ben Shepherd.

They were later joined by Kimberley Walsh, Ronan Keating and Gary Barlow. Following up behind were Alesha Dixon and heavyweight Chris Moyles.

Team members have said, "Cheryl for one has already said she's never done anything so mentally and physically demanding and I doubt anyone in the team will disagree.

Amy Winehouse Charged With Assault

Problems again for Amy Winehouse. She has been charged by police for assault, over an incident that happened last year. See also our Celebrity News Snippits here and here.

Amy's spokesperson said, "Amy voluntarily attended a police station in London yesterday morning," her spokesman said in a statement. She was questioned by appointment in relation to an accusation made after the Berkeley Ball last year. She was charged with common assault and will attend a court hearing in the coming weeks."

The hearing will take place at Westminster Magistrate's Court on March 17th.
