Diversity Burst Susan Boyle's Bubble

Susan Boyle looked stunned when Ant and Dec announced that dance group Diversity had won Britain's Got Talent last night. It didn't all quite go to plan but they have won the £100,000 prize, plus they will perform in front of the Queen on the Royal Variety Show this year.

Susan said, "The best people won. That's showbiz," and the 10 dancers who make up Diversity were also stunned as they felt it was really the Susan Boyle show.

One of the dancers said, "I was getting so excited thinking we were second. We feel electric. Words can't describe it. I am genuinely shocked. We thought Susan was unstoppable. She's an unbelievable talent. Can I just say, everyone who voted, you've changed our lives."

After the show Susan commented, "I hope to get an album out and I'll just play it by ear. What a journey. It was unbelievable and very humbling. Thank you for everything."

Despite everything it was an enjoyable final where all of the contestants performed well.

It will now be interesting to see how many of the contestants we will still be talking about this time next year. No doubt Susan Boyle will bring out an album which will sell well but after that who knows. The novelty is starting to fade.

Where's The Talent In Britain's Got Talent?

How did some of the semi finalists actually get into last night's Britain's Got Talent semi final? Flower arranging? Blokes with wheelbarrows, a couple of second rate ballroom dancers? And a bloke pretending he was playing a saxaphone that didn't even sound like a saxaphone?

Nope, this isn't Britain's best talent. It's manipulation to get certain contestants through to the final for monetary reasons.

Last night a fat bloke and his son dancing were the winners, some say surprise winners. But at least they were fun and were enjoying themselves. Stavros Flatley, as they are called, won't probably have a long career, they are just a novelty act.

Favourite to win, 12 year old Shaheen Jafargholi , also got through to the final but he is being hyped to the rafters by the judges. He's got potential but last night he performed the wrong song. Maybe he'll do better in the final when the other no hopers have gone.

So the latest two finalists are: Stavros Flatley and Shaheen Jafargholi.

It's just a pity that money is leading Britain's Got Talent by the nose, steered by Simon Cowell and his mates of course. But that's what these type of shows are unfortunately all about. The viewers are being treated as mugs.

This followed a rumpus at Crystal nightclub where she was allegedly attacked and left screaming, "My leg, my leg." She has subsequently had to have plastic surgery on her leg. A police spokesperson confirmed that two women had been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm following the incident.

Brooke Shields
Actress Brooke Shields has told health magazine about one of her regrets. She said, "I think I would have had sex a lot earlier. I think I would have been much more in touch with myself." Not really much you can add to that other than she didn't lose her virginity until she was 22.

Jackiey Budden, the mother of Jade Goody, reckons she has seen Jade from beyond the grave. Susan Boyle And Britain's Got Talent

Tonight it is estimated that around one fifth of the UK will be tuned in to Britain's Got Talent to see who will be in the coming semi-finals. The rest of the world, however, will be concentrating on one performer - Susan Boyle, who has been an unbelievable YouTube hit with over 58 million hits.

Even though it isn't confirmed that the Scottish singer will be in the next round of BGT the bookmakers have got her as a firm favourite to win the whole show. Let's hope she doesn't flop on her next appearance after so much hype and expectation. She is already due to cut an album in July with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra.

Tonight we'll see if her recent makeover will harm her appeal.

Amy Winehouse Cancels Concert

The Shepherd's Bush Empire in London have issued a statement about Amy Winehouse's scheduled concert for next Sunday: "Amy Winehouse's management has regretfully announced that Amy and her band will no longer be performing at the Shepherd's Bush Empire."

Amy's people say about this, "Amy would like to apologise to her fans who bought tickets for the shows." We understand refunds will be made from wherever the tickets were purchased.

Claims and reports that Michael Jackson may have skin cancer (see yesterday's updates) have been denied.

Dr. Tohme Tohme, supposedly Michael's spokesperson, has told the New York Daily News, "He is great. He is in perfect health… he doesn’t have any diseases whatsoever." The doctor went on to say that any cancer claims were 'not true'.

Jade Ewen Eurovision Prospects Alongside Dita Von Teese

It's the Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday and the UK's singer, Jade Ewen, has been talking about her chances of winning. Well, actually, she wants to win and expects to win!

Jade said, "I am in it to win it. I think of Eurovision in the way that an athlete gets psyched up for a race, by going for first place. Nobody with a real competatve edge thinks, 'Oh, I'll settle for fifth, or maybe even somewhere in the top ten would be good. No, you have to have your eyes on the prize.'"

A fine sentiment but the bookies don't seem to agree. At the time of writing the favourite is Norway - evens, followed by Greece 5/1, Turkey 9/1 and then the UK and Jade are next, along with Azerbaijan, at 12/1.

As we know, over the past few years, Eurovision has been a farce with political voting instead of votes for the best song. If this continues poor old Jade doesn't stand a cat in hells chance of winning - but you never know, what with the Lloyd-Webber influence.

Lots of countries aren't taking it too seriously, Germany for example have Marilyn Manson's ex wife and Dita Von Teese performing alongside their entry. Ms. Von Teese seems somewhat confused as she keeps calling Eurovision the 'Moscow Grand Prix.'

Mind you it's best to be zonked out when watching Eurovision. But being English, I mean British, I wish Jade well.

Danielle Lloyd In Alleged Fight

Danielle Lloyd picture has 'a swelling and an injury to her lip' according to her spokesperson and all because she's going out with Spurs footballer Jamie OHara. Well that's claimed to be the reason at least.

The story going round is that friends of Jamie's ex, Sade Metacalf, accused Danielle of stealing Jamie. Not sure if they think she just picked him up and popped him in her handbag or what.

But, anyway, a bit of a scene developed and one of Sade's friends is alleged to have struck Danielle in the face - which she reckons was a 'violent assault'. So the police are involved and are looking at CCTV film and have also photographed Danielle for their records.

The police were delighted with their photos and the Met spokesperson said, "Officers are investigating. No arrests have been made."

Danielle Lloyd likes her footballers and has previously entertained Jermain Defoe, Teddy Sheringham, Marcus Bent and Ryan Babel. Seems she's hoping for a full team set, so only another six required.

As for Sade she reckons that Jamie left her for Danielle and he even took back the Mercedes car he had given her -dear oh dear, what it is to be desperate to become a footballers WAG.

Amy Winehouse Ordered To Drink More!

If you are going to collapse there are worse places to do it than St. Lucia. Yes, Amy Winehouse has been rushed once more to hospital after collapsing at her apartment on the sunshine island.

Obviously rumours went around, most completely untrue, but it seems that the problem was dehydration. Her spokesperson said, "So she’s been told to drink lots of water and will hopefully be released later."

Amy is due to appear at the St. Lucia Jazz Festival in five days time and, if she's topped up with fluid, she should be okay for the event. The official line is, "She will be back to her full health by that point and it won’t affect her performance there."
