David Beckham has won considerable damages, in the High Court today, from the Star newspaper (part of the Express Group Newspapers) after they made claims that he had 'made a play' for the Hungarian glamour model Mariann Fogarasy.The Star plastered this over their front page with the headline 'Becks and the Blonde Beauty.' The newspaper now accepts that the story was untrue and have agreed to pay him damages and for his legal costs.
