Jo-Emma Larvin And Joe Calzaghe Separate

Joe Calzaghe and Jo-Emma Larvin have announced that they are separated. This comes just after it was released that Joe is to be one of the contestants on Strictly Come Dancing.

A family friend told the Sun newspaper, "Jo-Emma was very upset, but knew a split was the right thing to do. They don't have kids and have had a wonderful five years together."

The friend went on to say, "They remain very close friends and Jo-Emma will be going to watch Joe on Strictly Come Dancing. She will always support him."

Cheryl Cole Because She's Worth It

Cheryl Cole has landed herself a nice little earner with L'Oréal. They have signed her up to be the face of a range of beauty products which will target UK women.

Cheryl said what she had to say, "I have always loved the brand and have always wanted to say the iconic phrase 'because you're worth it' so to be given that opportunity is absolutely amazing. Every woman has the right to feel beautiful and L'Oréal Paris makes that aspiration achievable." No prompting at all, of course.

We researched a number of options but Cheryl just tested so well with the UK public. She is considered the nation's sweetheart and is held on great affection by the British public. We sign on personality as much as anything."

Big Brother Cancels The £100,000 Prize Money

The UK Big Brother contestants have been told that the £100,000 prize for winning the show has been scrapped.

The reason? They were told to do something interesting. So what did they do? They broke through a fire exit in the garden and ran amok in the camera runs.

Marcus Akin, Charlie, Sophie Reade, Siavash Sabbaghpour and Rodrigo Lopes were heard screaming while running away from security guards.

And all of this just as Channel 4 have announced that Big Brother will also be scrapped after a final show in 2010.

Rodrigo was none too happy about the loss of the prize money but David and Charlie said they were glad that there was no longer a prize to compete for.

Let's face it, Big Brother has now run it's course. Initially it was fun and interesting but now it's boring and is haemorrhaging viewers. The time has come to kick it into touch.

Katie Price, Jordan or whatever you wish to call her has told her Twitter followers that she isn't pregnant - despite rumours to the contrary.

Katie answered Paris Hilton's enquiry as to whether she was with child by new boyfriend Alex Reid. In her delicate way Katie replied: "No no no its sooo not true looks like ill have to pee on the preggie stick to prove this not engaged or getting married x."

As for Alex he confirmed that he 'loved his new girlfriend and tells her he loves her 50 times a day.' So that's nice isn't it?

Coronation Street favourite Helen Flanagan - at least with the boys - has split with her boyfriend.

This is reported as being a mutual decision but Helen has been upset on the Corrie set. She thought that Daniel Scott was 'the love of her life.' Mind you, it was her first love and she is still in her teens!

Chanelle Hayes Overdosed On Wine And Tablets

Chanelle Hayes was rushed to Pinderfields Hospital in Yorkshire when a friend found her unconscious after drinking bottles of wine mixed with lots of paracetamol tablets.

It is reported that Chanelle was not breathing wen the medics arrived.

She is now okay and her agent said, "Chanelle is a very sensitive girl who wears her heart on her sleeve, she has been experiencing some personal problems with a relationship and obviously struggled to cope.

Unfortunately it resulted in her being admitted to hospital. Our priority now is to find Chanelle some professional help. Chanelle would like to thank the hundreds of people for their messages of support she has received this morning."

It is understood that she had rowed with footballer boyfriend Matthews Bates.

After Sophie Reade appeared to tell Big Brother fellow housemate Noirin that she had had sex with Kris Donnelly he has refused to deny or confirm that this is true.

Kris said, "I didn't see her say that. My little sister rang me up saying, 'What have you been doing?' I asked if Sophie had had a couple to drink. I think she was trying to get some juicy gossip out of Noirin and had to give some herself."

Italian Press Reports Naomi Campbell Assaulted Photographer

It is being reported in the Italian press that Naomi Campbell 'scratched and bruised' the face of a photographer in an incident in Sicily.

Gaetano Di Giovanni, the photographer concerned said, "First she hit with her bag, screaming at me and then she tried to slap me. I managed to avoid her - but her nails still got my eye. For a few seconds I could not see a thing. I could hear that her bodyguards and her boyfriend were trying to drag her away."

The spokesperson for Naomi, however, denied the claims saying, "Media reports circulating that Naomi Campbell attacked a photographer in Lipari, Sicily are completely untrue. The photographer was seen following Naomi Campbell on a small boat, taking photographs, the day after the alleged incident."

David Beckham Scores In Biggest Crowd Soccer Game

Yesterday saw the biggest crowd in the USA for a soccer match. This was for an exhibition game between Los Angeles Galaxy and the Spanish football/soccer giants FC Barcelona and was held at the the Rose Bowl Stadium Los Angeles, California.
