It has been described as an unlikely pairing but reports say that the UK Newsnight presenter Gavin Esler has left his wife for a younger violinist Anna Phoebe. He is 55 and she is 27.
It is said by the Sunday Mail that Gavin has moved out of his family home, leaving his wife and children, to live with Anna.
So who is Anna Phoebe?
She has been described as the 'vixen of the violin' and is known for playing a custom made 6 string bright pink electric violin. Her music choice is varied and includes rock, folk, jazz, Celtic and Middle Eastern music.
She was born in Germany, on February 8 1981, to a German mother and a Greek/Irish father but moved with her parents to the UK when she was seven.
