Newscaster Jane Hill Reveals That She Is Gay

Her BBC colleagues have known the fact for a while but the BBC news presenter Jane Hill has come out and has revealed that she is gay - no doubt to the disappointment of many of her male admirers.

Jane is living with her partner Sara and their dog Mavis. A colleague at the BBC told the Daily Mail, "She hasn't made a secret of it at the BBC and although she has had other girlfriends over the years, this one seems to be the one."

Jane is one of the main BBC News presenters and was born in Sussex on the 10th of June 1969.

It's time for gongs, in the British New Year Honours List that is.

Katie Price Is Taking The Public For A Load Of Mugs

Get excited: Katie Price will be soon heading back to the UK after her jungle triumph - well, she's flying back and no doubt she will create a stir.

Seems she has re-negotiated her I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here contract so that she can leave early - after she has finished filming stuff for her ITV2 reality show, of course.

Unbelievably one of the scenes she hopes to film is a showdown with her ex-boyfriend Alex Reid. Remember she dumped him live on air, after leaving I'm A Celebrity. Guess some people will do anything for money.

In Katie's own words, "Viewers (or her ITV2 show) have seen what I went through in the jungle, and now they'll get to find out exactly what happens next. As ever, there's bound to be lots of drama!"

A tearful Katie Price has left the I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! show.

Katie said, "I've had enough Everyone else, give them something to do. You've seen me struggle, you've seen me cry, shake, want to die.

I really don't want to be doing this. I miss my children. I’m hungry.

I want a nice bed and I don’t want to have to put myself through these horrible challenges."

ITV have confirmed that Katie Price has left the jungle and say that at the present time they have no plance to replace her.

At least the other I'm A Celeb contestants will now have the opportunity to strut their stuff and get noticed.

Actually what she wrote on Twitter was, "3 words. Diamonds are forever," and there was a photo attached of her wearing her wedding ring.

She's obviously trying to quash the speculation that her marriage to Cashley is in trouble.

Some of the rumours came about by her not wearing her wedding ring - because it 'clashed with her outfit' - hmmmm! And then there have been her so called friends discussing her relationship in the media.

Cheryl's increased fame and gossip about her heading off to the US for a Simon Cowell television series has no doubt unsettled Ashley Cole. There's a little jealousy as to who is the most successful.

Cheryl is a fighter and will no doubt do whatever she needs to do to keep her marriage in tact. Bit it'll take more than diamonds - she can afford her own now.

Technicians Give Jedward A Helping Hand - Allegedly

There have been accusations of cheating on UK's X Factor - and at the center of the row is none other than Jedward or, to give them their correct name, John and Edward. Well it had to be them, didn't it!

Some Technicians on X Factor have made claims that their hierarchy ordered them to turn down Jedward's microphones, and mask their voices with backing tracks, while performing on the show. Well if it can be done for Cheryl ...

X Factor, of course, denies this saying, "All the contestants sing live on Saturday night and are given an equal amount of technical support."

But one technician supposedly told the Daily Mirror, "The twins have had backing vocals on all their live performances so far. We are used to tweaking levels, it is part of the job, but what we were asked to do on Saturday was beyond a joke."

So what - only Simon and Dannii seem to think X Factor is still a singing competition. Really it's a good entertainment show. And any potential money making singers will do okay, whether they win or not. Take the show for what it is.

John And Edward Pull In The X Factor Votes

It's generally rumoured that somehow John and Edward got the most votes on last weekend's X Factor - yes really! Whatever the reason it's woken the bookmakers up to the fact that the Irish duo could actually come close to winning the whole thing. As I write there is steam escaping from Simon Cowell's ears at this very thought.

The fact is, whether Simon likes it or not, John and Edward Grimes have captured the publics' imagination despite the fact that they aren't too hot at singing. They look great, and different, and appeal to the young and fun market.

The twins odds of winning have shortened so the publicity machine will go into overdrive to stop this happening. Manipulation is afoot.

Everyone's favourite to win X Factor seems to be Joe McElderry but wouldn't it be funny to see John and Edward upset the applecart? Imagine Simon's face. He's already got his knickers in a twist by having Danyl Johnson in the sing offs and has supposedly been blasting Cheryl and Dannii. So much so that Cheryl described him as being, 'rude and nasty'.

But, of course, conflicts and rumours of upsets all help the X Factor viewing figures and I guess most, well some, viewers realise that it's all illusion and manipulation. Money is the real name of the game.

A source told the Mirror: "She may come across as having a tough exterior but she’s broken by the split with Pete and she’s trying to persuade herself that being with Alex is what she needs. She’s been distant and acting weird with him all week. Alex was trying to comfort her but every time he tried to cuddle her she’d snap, 'Get away from me'. He yelled back, 'You're clearly not over Pete'.

Tru Colourz have been kicked out of X Factor's final 24 for fibbing about their ages. It seems that one of the group is under 16, which is the minimum age requirement to enter the show. Harmony Hood will be their replacement.

Rumours that Robbie Williams and Take That are to be re-united are in doubt.

Though all five (Take That + Robbie) were in New York it appears that they were there only for Mark Owen's Stag Night - and not to record music together.

Their spokesperson said, "They (Take That)were there approving mixes for a live album that's due out at the end of November. Williams probably popped in to have a listen."

They have certainly glammed up Countdown presenter Rachel Riley.

Rachel had a hard act to follow when she replaced Carol Vorderman and there has been criticism of her. But this week things changed as she changed her style of dress. She has turned into a vixen with short skirts and high heels.

No doubt desperate measures were needed as the Countdown audience has dropped by half.

The stylists have got to work and seem to have realised that Rachel Riley is an untapped commodity.

As to whether her legs can save Countdown is another matter but it could just do the trick.

A hollow cheeked Victoria Beckham caused a stir at the London Fashion Week last night and not because of her fashion designs.

Sugababes New Line-Up

As expected it's all change with the Sugababes. A statement was issued saying simply, "The current line-up of the Sugababes has disbanded."

Keisha Buchanan has left the group and has been replaced by Jade Ewan, who was this year's UK Eurovision Song Contest representative.

As for Keisha she says that she was forced out of the group. She said, "I'm sad to say that I am no longer a part of the Sugababes. I've had a great time and have achieved more then I ever thought I would. Although it was not my choice to leave, it's time to enter a new chapter in my life."

The change in the line-up means that none of the original Sugababes remain. Back in 1998 they started off with Keisha Buchanan, Mutya Buena and Siobhan Donaghy. So should the group still be called the Sugababes?

A man suspected of breaking into the homes of Hollywood stars Lindsay Lohan and Audrina Patridge has been arrested, Los Angeles police have said.

Police confirm, "Nicholas Prugo, 18, was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of felony burglary and being held on $20,000 (£12,235) bail."

Lindsay's Hollywood Hills home was broken into last month and Audrina's in February.

The media manipulating Katie Price has said that she is 'livid' about the fuss caused by her saying that she had once been raped by a well known celebrity. And, no, she won't say who it actually was. Mmmmm!

Katy said, "I'm absolutely livid - I mentioned it [the rape} in my column and then I done a shoot with the kids last week and they just tried to press on and on about it and I said I'm not going to say who it is. And they just dig and dig and dig.

"It has been blown out of all context. I've woken up this morning and it's on the covers of all the newspapers and I'm like 'oh my God'. It's just like a can of worms they're opening."

Wonder what she expected?!

She went on to say, "It happened absolutely years ago and like anyone it's just a hard thing to do. It's been there and done now so what do you do. If something happens you should go to the police. Maybe I should have done. I went back and said to my friends 'this happened ...' it was definitely rape. I didn't consent to it. What do you do? It's a difficult situation. I just don't want to bring it all up and it has been brought up."

Katie would no doubt have known full well that her rape story would hit the headlines - she's not that naive as to think it wouldn't.

Derren Brown Lottery Explanation

Derren Brown's explanation as to how he forecast the UK Lottery result pulled in a good sized television audience, up to 4.6 million through the programme. A great result for Channel 4.

Problem is his explanation, as expected, was a load of hogwash.

It was a great trick but, of course, he won't reveal the real way he 'guessed' the correct Lottery numbers. It's too valuable. He'll be able to do similar stunts around the world - earning himself fame and fortune.

So we'll all have to carry on with our Lotto numbers with 14 million to one odds.

Pixie Lott Ready To Scream For Boys & Girls

When Pixie Lott heard that her first single went to number one she started screaming but couldn't really celebrate straight away.

Pixie said, "I had a show that night with The Saturdays in Brighton, so I couldn't go mad. But, on the way home we popped open the champagne."
