Britney Spears deemed to honour X Factor with her presence last night. Diddy little Dermot was nearly orgasmic with excitement as he mentioned her name in virtually every sentence and kept on and on about it being Britney Spears Night.

As for Britney she managed to lip sinc her way through her one song and many viewers must have scratched their heads wondering what all of the excessive hype was about.

She looked okay, she danced efficiently and afterwards uttered a few platitudes about how 'she loved being here in London, it's awesome' and when asked about the X Factor contestants managed to come up with the words of wisdom, "Good luck and just keep doing it."

Somehow the whole Britney Spears performance was just her doing her routine job, there was no real passion or personality. Quite honestly Miley Cyrus, who was also on the show knocked, her for six and was far better entertainment value.

Disappointing, to say the least, and to think the X Factor contestants had to also sing Britney songs in her honour - most of which were completely unsuitable.

As for the real part of the show, when it wasn't simply a publicity generating machine for Britney, was that Ruth Lorenzo was predictably voted out.

And the winner of X Factor is/will be ... Simon Cowell! Well done Simon.

They are beginning to sort out the deadwood in UK's I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here as Carly Zucker was voted out of the jungle.

It will be no big loss. She's easy on the eye but otherwise is pretty dull. And how come she is actually classed as a celebrity? Her only claim to fame is being the girlfriend, sorry fiance, of a footballer.

She lost votes because of her silly comment about being stressed because she had a lot of money (see here). Erm, but isn't it Joe Cole's money?

Anyway, she's gone now and in her opinion, for what it's worth, Nicola McLean will win I'm A Celeb. Carly said, "Me and Nicola are going to be true friends when we're out of here. The next few days, she's probably going to be like a dog pining for its owner."

Britney Spears Tickets For O2 June 2009

Britney Spears is to perform at two concerts at the O2 arena, London on the 3rd and 4th of June next year.

Tickets will go on sale on the 5th of December but if you register on her website here you will be first in thee queue and will be able to buy them 24 hours earlier.

According to the promoter these will be Britney's only dates in Europe 'for the foreseeable future.' They will be her first concerts in the UK since 2004.

As we also know Britney is due to appear on this weekend's X Factor. Simon Cowell has even given up his dressing room for her!

Blake Fielder-Civil Appeal Rejected At High Court

Breaking News 12.10pm Nov 24 08:
Blake Fielder-Civil, husband of Amy Winehouse, has lost his High Court appeal against his 27 month sentence for his part in attacking a pub landlord. Two judges rejected his legal challenge at the Court of Appeal in London today.

Fielder-Civil said afterwards, "I am disappointed but not really surprised."

He is at present on parole, which was on condition that he went to a drug rehabilitation centre. Personally I think he should have stayed inside for his full 27 month sentence and think himself lucky that was all he got.

Who Is The Celebrity Phoebe Price?

So this is Phoebe Price at a charity event in Los Angeles but how come she gets so much publicity? Okay, there appears to be two good reasons, judging from the photo above, but besides having a healthy cleavage what else has she done?

This even mystifies Phoebe, yea right. But she said, "No one can understand why I am so famous without having had a lot of credits. There are a lot of girls who have tons and tons of credits, and no one can get the press that I do."

She is supposedly 33 and is purported to have started out as an international model mostly working in Milan.

Bye Bye Rachel Hylton from X Factor

Rachel Hylton bit the dust on last night's X Factor as she was finally booted out by the judges.

It was surely the right decision as she had been in the bottom two for three times. Simon Cowell with his final casting vote said, "This is tough. I have been a fan of yours since you came on this show, but it has been three times."

The biggest entertainment on the show was the spat between judges Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue which ended with the latter in tears. This shouldn't have happened on air but I guess it makes what is nowadays considered to be 'good television.'

The problem was that they both wanted the same song for one of their contestants and JLS therefore had to move onto a different Take That song at the last moment.

Eoghan Quigg and Diana Vickers seem to easily be favourites for the final along with Alexandra Burke. But voters sometimes do funny things. Also left in X Factor are Ruth Lorenzo and JLS.
