Gisele, idolised by many girls in her home country, Brazil (Brasil), has had strong words to say about the Roman Catholic church and it's opposition to condoms.
When the Pope last visited Brazil he emphasised the church's opposition to contraception, abortion and gay sex. Gisele, however, thinks the church should modernise it's beliefs. She says: "Today no-one is a virgin when they get married. It's ridiculous to ban contraceptives. You only have to think of the diseases that are transmitted without them. It should be compulsory to use them."
Not being a Catholic I have to agree with her. Condoms prevent STD's as well as pregnancy. Aids wouldn't flourish so much in Africa, for example, if condoms were brought properly into the culture.
