As we told you in our Quick Celebrity Snippits yesterday Thierry Henry's marriage is in trouble. Today the full story is in the UK newspapers.It looks as if the marriage is over and Thierry's wife, Nicole Merry, won't be going with him to Barcelona.
Nicole Merry, a model, is also known as Claire, her real name. Thierry and Claire appeared together in the excellent Renault va-va-vroom television adverts. They married in 2003 and have a two year old daughter Tea.
Thierry Henry released a statement which stated:
"Thierry is extremely saddened by the breakdown of his marriage. He is anxious to move on with his life and maintain the best possible relationship with Claire for the benefit of their daughter Tea, whom he loves very much. Thierry would like to stress that contrary to reports his move to Barcelona was entirely for footballing reasons."
It is said that the marriage got into trouble because Nicole / Claire Henry found pictures and messages saved on his mobile phone.
